Murder Free Hyderabad - Campaign

A Safer Hyderabad Starts With Us - Let's us Join The Cause
Murder Free Hyderabad
Hyderabad is our home. Its streets, neighbourhoods and communities belong to all of us. We should not accept murder, violence, revenge killings or the culture of “settling matters” through violence as normal. ZIMME along with ‘Hyderabad Fact News‘ is starting the #MurderFreeHyderabad campaign to encourage every Hyderabadi to stand for peace and the value the life of every Human.

How can WE make Hyderabad safer?

1. Don’t ignore threats when you know someone may be in danger

If you know that someone has been threatened, targeted, or that a violent confrontation may take place, don’t dismiss it as “just a fight” or “a personal matter.” Threats can escalate quickly. Take credible warnings seriously and encourage those involved to seek help before the situation gets worse.

2. Report serious threats before it’s too late

If you have credible information about a serious threat, planned violence, or suspicious activity, inform the police or appropriate authorities. Reporting a potential danger early can help prevent injuries, deaths, and further conflict. Never put yourself at risk by confronting dangerous individuals.

3. Stop small arguments from turning into serious tragedies

Many violent incidents begin with an argument, insult, disagreement, or personal dispute. Walk away when emotions are high. Give everyone time to calm down and, when necessary, involve responsible family members, elders, community leaders, or authorities to resolve the matter peacefully.

4. Say no to revenge and the cycle of violence

Revenge does not solve the problem. One act of violence can destroy several families and affect many lives. Losing a loved one is devastating, but responding with further violence only creates another victim, another grieving family, and another tragedy.

5. Don’t carry weapons for ego, status, or intimidation

Carrying a weapon to look powerful, settle an argument, or protect one’s ego can turn a moment of anger into an irreversible tragedy. A weapon can escalate a situation within seconds. Real courage is knowing when to walk away and prevent violence. And if you see someone with weapons, report to the Police immediately.

6. Be responsible about what you share on social media

Social media can either calm a situation or make it worse. Do not spread rumours, unverified accusations, provocative videos, hate-filled messages, or content that could inflame tensions. Think before forwarding or posting anything that could put someone at risk.

7. Protect young people by teaching them peaceful ways to resolve conflict

Children and young adults need to understand that violence is not a sign of strength. Parents, teachers, mentors, and community leaders should teach them how to control anger, handle disagreements, seek help, and resolve conflicts peacefully. Real strength is having the self-control to walk away.

8. Stand together to build a safer Hyderabad

A safer Hyderabad cannot be created by the police alone. Families, schools, religious leaders, community leaders, businesses, youth groups, and ordinary citizens all have a role to play. By recognising warning signs, discouraging violence, reporting genuine threats, and supporting peaceful conflict resolution, we can help prevent tragedies before they happen.

Together, we can prevent violence!
One argument should not become a funeral.
One moment of anger should not destroy a family.
One life lost is one life too many.

Speak up. Report genuine threats. Walk away from conflict. Reject revenge. Protect our young people. Respect human life. Prevention starts with each one of us.
